THE PROJECTS

We started our work in June 2015 with two projects. We now have the privilege to be involved in five thriving projects. Naturally, hoping that things will keep developing at the same pace, we are very excited to discover what the future holds!

COVID-19 EMERGENCY FOOD PARCELS

Morocco took drastic measures with strict lockdown when COVID hit in March 2020. As a result, the country has managed to control rather well the spread of the virus, but a lot of family still struggle to put enough food on the table. Desiring to contribute within our limited capacities, we are putting together emergency food parcels for the most vulnerable individuals of the regions of Ouarzazate.

MOBILE SCHOOLS FOR NOMADS

We are working with the Association Chems in the Saghro region (South of Morocco). They have been helping Nomads there since the 90's through different projects. The mobile schools were started in 2009.

Today, around 220 children are being taught in 7 different classes which follow the Nomads in their seasonal moves.

MIDWIVES IN OUARZAZATE

European midwives have been working in Ouarzazate for more than 60 years. Their role in this little town of Southern Morocco has evolved a lot over the years, but there is still plenty to do these days, and the one British midwife currently working there is kept very busy. Last year, she served more than a thousand women and babies in the town and its surroundings.

SUPPORTING AMNOUGAR... HOW?

Amnougar is a unique association whose goal is to allow disabled adults to acquire skills in order to have a better future. They do this through a 2 year apprenticeship either in farming, jewellery crafting or carpentry. At the end of the program, the apprentices are given material in order to start their own micro-business. With your support, we will find ways to support their work!
